Easter gastronomic specialty of Notranjska, one of the forgotten dishes of our ancestors. It is a beautiful landmark between winter and spring.




1 kg of flour

1 cube of yeast, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 dl of milk fort he dough starter

5 - 6 dl of lukewarm water




2 onions

2 tablespoons breadcrumbs

10 dag ground nuts

3 tablespoons of lard

Prepare the yeast: heat the milk, add the yeast and sugar, and let it rise.

Knead the dough and let it rise for at least 30 minutes.

Chop the onions into small pieces and fry on lard.

When it is yellow, add the breadcrumbs and sauté for 2-3 minutes.

Then add walnuts, spices and mix.

Sprinkle on the rolled dough.

Wrap and cut the wrap into 3 cm thick rings.

Lay them horizontally on a greased baking tray.

Bake at 160 degrees for about 35 minutes.
