On 1 June, Slovenia is to introduce a renewed passenger travel system with the renewal of combined ticket (IPPT ticket) and the introduction of the new "Slovenia" ticket.
The essential change relates to a fixed upper or maximum ticket price for each type of ticket. When the price of the ticket reaches the maximum value of the ticket in relation to the route, the passenger obtains a ticket that enables travel throughout Slovenia – the Slovenia ticket.
Public transport will therefore cost less, and will also be more user-friendly. A single ride with a single ticket will not cost more than EUR 13, a day ticket no more than EUR 15, a three-day ticket no more than EUR 20, and a weekly ticket no more than EUR 35.
Single tickets for public passenger transport will be available to children aged 6-15 for half the price. Public passenger transport is free of charge for children up to 6 years old.
Pupils and students are entitled to combined tickets at subsidised prices, therefore the monthly combined ticket for pupils and students will cost EUR 25, and an annual ticket EUR 200.

Daily, three-day and weekly ticket:
A daily ticket up to the price of EUR 15 allows an unlimited number of rides on the route for which it was issued; the daily ticket for EUR 15 allows an unlimited number of rides throughout Slovenia. Valid for one day.
A three-day ticket up to the price of EUR 20 allows an unlimited number of rides on the route for which it was issued; the ticket for EUR 20 allows an unlimited number of rides throughout Slovenia. Valid for three days.
A weekly ticket up to the price of EUR 35 may be used from Monday to Sunday for an unlimited number of rides on the route for which it was issued; the ticket for EUR 35 allows an unlimited number of rides throughout Slovenia. Valid for one week.
Monthly and annual ticket:
A price limit is set for monthly and annual tickets, up to which the passenger may only use the route for which it was issued. When the price of monthly or annual ticket reaches the maximum ticket price, the passenger obtains a monthly or annual ticket that can be used throughout Slovenia. The ticket is uploaded on the IPPT electronic card or another suitable electronic medium, and enables multimodal and multi-operator use.
