Liffe's mission is to promote and support emerging filmmakers, particularly from Europe, fostering a connection with Slovenian audiences. The festival bestows several awards, such as the Vodomec for Best Young Filmmaker, Best Short Film, Audience Award, and the Fipresci Award.
In recent years, Liffe has embraced digital innovations and educational programs aimed at younger audiences, underlining its commitment to diverse age groups.
The festival unfolds across six venues in Ljubljana and extends its reach to Maribor, Novo mesto, and Celje.
