On 21 May, a new Velenje-Mislinja cycle link was opened in Paka near Velenje. The 9.4-kilometre-long cycle path cost €18 million to build.

In recent years, Slovenia has invested more than €200 million, and together with municipal investments, more than €250 million. It has created more than 500 kilometres of cycling surfaces, built 700 kilometres of cycle links, co-financed the creation of 20 public bicycle rental systems and provided a large number of public bicycle parking spaces.
