Dan Damon, a British journalist, was in Ljubljana for the declaration of independence in June 1991 and covered the war until its end. Dan and his wife and camerawoman Siân set up a news agency in Budapest in March 1989 serving clients in Europe and America. They chronicled the collapse of Communism and the liberation of nations across the region. They began to report from Slovenia early in 1990. He and Siân and their daughter Lejla lived in Ljubljana in 1993-4.
