From a sporting, geographical, political, economic, strategic and touristic point of view, the Olympic Games are an exceptional opportunity to promote Slovenia. The Games in Paris are undoubtedly the biggest sporting event in the world this year, bringing together almost every country on the planet in a city close to home.
That is why, on the occasion of the Olympic Games in Paris, you are also welcome to visit the Slovenian House, which will be a little Slovenia La Villette Park during the Games.
It will be open from 27 July to 11 August.
It will showcase Slovenia's sport, heart, creativity, rich cultural heritage, dynamic economy and fascinating tourist pulse, bringing together everyone who is interested in Slovenia.

What will be happening?
The House will host various business meetings, economic conferences, business clubs, scientific symposia, Slovenian-French networking events, product and company presentations and tourism promotion of Slovenia.
A varied programme will be held throughout the Games, including a number of round tables with topical issues and outstanding guests addressing topics such as gender equality in sport, sustainability and green breakthroughs, athletes and their second careers, meetings with former Olympians and, of course, current athletes after their competitions. We will share the diversity of our small but culturally and sportingly rich country with sportsmen and women, sports officials, business people, politicians, international dignitaries.
The Slovenia House at the 2024 Olympic Games will also be an opportunity to strengthen international links and spread Slovenia's positive influence in the world and build bridges between people. And of course, the House will also feature a wide range of content to help you get to know Slovenia.
The House will feature interesting interactive exhibits highlighting Slovenia's rich cultural heritage. There will also be culinary delights showcasing the best of Slovenian cuisine. We would like to suggest that Slovenian cuisine is excellent! Thanks to its geographical location and historical tradition, it is characterised by Alpine, Mediterranean as well as Pannonian influences.
Slovenian House Programme
The Olympic Games in Paris are of great symbolic significance for Slovenia – exactly 100 years ago, the legendary Olympian Leon Štukelj won his and Slovenia's first Olympic gold medal at the Olympic Games in Paris.
The Slovenia House in Paris will be a multi-purpose centre that will enable a comprehensive presentation of Slovenia.
In addition to the overall presentation of Slovenia, the presentation will also focus on the 100th anniversary of Slovenia's first Olympic gold medal and the 100th anniversary of Triglav National Park, photos of which will be presented on digital displays. Visitors will also be able to see Slovenian sports photographs that have marked Slovenia's independence.
The Slovenia House will host gatherings with Slovenian medal winners and state meetings, act as a meeting point for interesting ideas and discussions, network with other national houses in the vicinity, and organise joint projects with the houses of neighbouring countries, a tourism congress and presentations of tourist destinations, a scientific forum, a sustainability conference, cultural workshops and performances, etc.

Top Slovenian cuisine at the Slovenia House
The Slovenia House is the place where the deliciousness of Slovenian cuisine and Slovenian traditions and hospitality come together at Olympic events. Guests at the Slovenia House in Paris will also explore Slovenia's rich cultural heritage through its flavours.
They will experience a true Slovenian 'Južina', featuring cured meat delicacies, selected cheeses from all over the Slovenian hills, and delicious hot dishes, including Idrija žlikrofi, štruklji, buckwheat ricotta, Piran sea bass, Kranjska klobasa, pan-fried dishes, winning cakes and delicacies from the sweets pantry (sweet spajza).
Of course, the medal winners will not be forgotten either, as their outstanding successes will be celebrated with the famous French dessert croquembouche.
Jezeršek Catering, in cooperation with the best Slovenian chef and winner of three Michelin stars, Ana Roš, and her team from House Franko, will prepare a special catered lunch for selected guests at the Slovenia House.
