Slovenia is the guest of honour at this year's Frankfurter Buchmesse, which will take place from 18 to 22 October.
Slovenia will be presenting itself at the Frankfurt fair under the slogan Honeycombs of words with a total of 250 events, more than 75 Slovenian authors will be presenting their work, and our main themes will be poetry, philosophy and reading in the age of screen media.
The opening ceremony on 17 October will see Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar with internationally acclaimed philosopher Slavoj Žižek and poet Miljana Cunta addressing the event. The Guest of Honour in Frankfurt is the biggest Slovenian cultural event abroad to date.
